Rural Churches – Series No. 1
In our wanderings we often run across incredibly aesthetic roadside churches in communities all over the South. The edifices are as varied as the topography, but what appears to be in common is that “the calling” comes first and the physical place of worship is often less important. But clearly the “house” is not forgotten for there is always beauty in the simplicity and in the earnestness of their tribute.
